From now until Jan. 20, 2008, the Denver Botanic Gardens revives the gardens with one million colorful lights for the 19th annual "Blossoms of Light." HoloSpex 3-D glasses are also available for an additional $1. Hot cocoa and other refreshments are sold at the Botanic Gardens to ward off the chill during the walk around the gardens.
Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and $6 for children

CINTAS DONATES SECURE SHREDDING SERVICES IN EXCHANGE FOR TOYS

Denver-area residents and businesses will soon be able help protect themselves against identity theft and help the area's underprivileged children at the same time. On Saturday, November 22nd, Cintas Document Management in Denver will host a free shredding event benefitting Toys for Tots. Cintas will provide free, secure shredding of confidential documents in exchange for a new, unwrapped toy. The public's generosity goes even further. In addition to the toys, ten percent of the revenue generated by recycling the shredded materials from the event will be donated to the Toys for Tots program.
"People who take advantage of the event are not only helping protect themselves and their loved ones against identify theft, but they are helping a great cause at the same time," said H. Greg Miller, General Manager of Cintas' Document Management operation in Denver. "The more documents that are shredded, the more kids we can help experience a more joyful holiday."

New Year's Eve Fireworks

Welcome the arrival of 2009 with the New Year's Eve Fireworks Downtown! The event will entertain families and others looking for an early celebration, while the second show officially marks the start of the New Year at midnight. The two fireworks programs are identical, and both are launched simultaneously from dual sites along the 16th Street Mall. Produced by Downtown Denver Events, Inc. and supported by the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District and the City & County of Denver. You can view the fireworks anywhere along the 16th Street Mall. Please note, between 8 pm and 1 am, RTD light rail trains will not cross the 16th Street Mall. The 16th Street Mall Ride shuttles will stop temporarily during the two fireworks shows.
